Tripp believes that good litigation strategy starts with understanding the people and businesses behind a dispute. He brings a thoughtful, collaborative approach to his work, combining creative problem-solving with the belief that a little kindness—and a healthy dose of common sense—goes a long way toward resolving even the toughest conflicts.

Tripp’s litigation experience began in a broad range of civil matters, including complex commercial disputes, product liability, and professional malpractice. Early in his career, he second-chaired a two-week federal jury trial just months after becoming a licensed attorney, helping secure a favorable settlement for his client during jury deliberations. He has also handled substantial motion practice, depositions, discovery, and courtroom appearances in state and federal courts.

Tripp was drawn to the financial services industry by the opportunity to work with innovative businesses in a dynamic and rapidly changing field. A previous internship with a fintech company gave him an inside look at how institutions navigate legal and operational challenges. That experience, combined with his litigation background and entrepreneurial upbringing, shapes his practical, business-minded approach to representing clients.

He brings that same curiosity and enthusiasm to life outside the office, whether he’s tackling an ambitious recipe, exploring Chicago’s restaurant scene, running long distances, or following one of his many favorite sports teams. Tripp also enjoys traveling, especially when good food, small towns, and a few wineries are involved.

Tripp grew up on a farm outside Indianapolis
with three horses and a pet cow.

His family owns a winery, where he’s done everything from building tasting rooms to hand-dipping wine bottles in wax.

He’s a devoted Indiana Pacers and Indianapolis Colts fan, but also cheers for the Atlanta Braves, FC Barcelona, and Aston Villa.

A recent ten-day road trip through France took him from
Annecy to Provence and the French Riviera,
with plenty of memorable meals along the way.

He has two dogs: a cockapoo and a dachshund.

One of his favorite sayings is from St. Francis de Sales:
“Be who you are, and be that well.”
