Alan Ritchie

Alan has extensive experience representing financial institutions in state and federal courts around the country. He’s handled all aspects of litigation, from motion practice to settlement conferences, and recently participated in a six-week jury trial involving a commercial dispute between an auto finance company and a dealership.

Alan was born in Texas, and has lived in Colorado, Iowa, Illinois and California. He spent his formative years in a town called Sandwich, where he cultivated a love of music and sports. He taught himself guitar as a teenager, and since then has played with several bands (including two shows at the legendary Whisky A Go Go in Hollywood), attended hundreds of concerts, and developed a small obsession with vinyl records.

Alan played rugby all four years of college, and was selected as a U.S. Rugby Sevens Collegiate All-Star in 2009.

His most memorable vacation was a trip to Scotland and Ireland in honor of his parents' 40th wedding anniversary.

He's not afraid to admit that he wanted to become a sports agent after watching the movie Jerry McGuire.

He's a huge Denver Broncos fan, but will also cheer for the White Sox, the Bulls, and the Blackhawks.

Two things Alan loves about Chicago are its restaurants and its music festivals.

In law school, Alan worked at Loyola's Nonprofit Tax and Transaction Clinic where he counseled nonprofit startups on various corporate law and tax issues.
